Finding beauty in every shade of women’s lives
Virtual EMDR therapy across north carolina for women tired of carrying anxiety & shame
It’s heavy, isn’t it?
The weight of trying to cover up how you feel within; hoping nobody sees through the cracks.
Some days it feels like your mind is sprinting while your body is stuck in cement. You smile, crack a joke, keep moving down your to-do list, anything to avoid slowing down long enough to feel it all. But the heaviness doesn’t disappear; it just settles deeper. You’re allowed to stop running. You’re allowed to be held in the places that hurt. You don’t have to prove you’re worthy any longer.
You deserve a therapist who gets it.
The messy middle, the quiet panic, the invisible pressure, the identity you built to survive, the unspoken hurt, and the parts you’re ready to let go of.

Welcome! I’m Jaimy
I see the woman behind the jokes, the color-coded calendar, the unread texts, and the endless to-do list. The version of you who’s tired of holding it all together. Here, you don’t have to perform or be “fine.” You don’t have to prove your value.
I’m a woman-only therapist who helps women move through shame, anxiety, and trauma with EMDR and a blend of other evidence based approaches. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection. It’s about understanding yourself with compassion and learning to love every shade of who you are. My approach is human first, a little witty and deeply validating.
We’ll get to the root of what’s been weighing on you, uncover the shades of who you are, and create space for boundaries, softness, confidence, and relief.
How I Can Help You
-
TRAUMA
Whether your trauma was loud and obvious or quiet and chronic, it shaped how you move through the world.
We’ll gently untangle those experiences so you can finally move forward without feeling stuck in the past.

-
ANXIETY
Anxiety can make your mind race and your body stay on high alert, even when nothing is “wrong.”
Together, we’ll calm the noise, understand the root, and help your nervous system finally feel safe again.

-
SHAME
The quiet voice that says you’re never enough. Shame keeps you small.
In therapy, we’ll soften those old beliefs and help you reconnect to the parts of you that deserve compassion, confidence, and space.

-
PHOBIAS
Fears that keep you from fully living (like driving, flying, medical anxiety, spiders, dogs). Your fear is real. Your fear is valid.
We’ll work at your pace to retrain your nervous system so life feels manageable, grounded, and possible again.

I do not accept insurance.
Why is that?
I see more than a diagnosis
Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis the first time I meet you to authorize and continue treatment. While diagnoses can be useful, they don’t always tell the full story. I see you — your experiences, nervous system, trauma history, strengths, and context — not just a label.More flexibility in session length and frequency
Insurance typically limits sessions to 45–60 minutes and often dictates how often therapy can occur. Private pay allows us to choose what actually supports you — whether that’s 60-minute sessions, 90-minute sessions, EMDR intensives, weekly support, or spacing sessions out when needed.Greater privacy and confidentiality
When insurance is used, your diagnosis, treatment plans, and session dates become part of your medical record and are accessible to third parties. Private pay allows for more discretion and control over your personal mental health information.Treatment decisions are between you and me; not an insurance company
Insurance companies can influence what type of therapy is “allowed,” how long we work together, and when treatment should end. Private pay keeps your care guided by your needs and goals — not external policies.
You deserve to feel whole, worthy, and enough; without earning it
If you’re curious about working together, start with a free 15-minute consultation call.
We’ll talk about your needs, my approach, and what your goals are. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session.
